Towing in Millfield

General towing is useful when a vehicle needs to reach another destination without being driven there. We transport suitable everyday vehicles and can discuss vintage car movements as part of this offering.

The reasons for arranging transport vary, but the information needed is much the same: the vehicle's condition and details of the two locations. Please mention anything that makes the car different from an ordinary roadgoing vehicle. This could include low clearance, a missing wheel or an inability to steer.

Information about a vintage vehicle's condition also helps avoid assumptions about how easily it can be moved. Collection should be discussed before setting expectations about the trip.

Let us know what surrounds it, where it is going and whether the destination has any restrictions.

Machinery moving between jobs or properties often cannot be treated like an ordinary vehicle tow. Our machinery towing service covers transport enquiries for equipment that needs an appropriate loading method. Before determining suitability, we need a clear description of the whole machine and its transport dimensions.

Measurements should account for attachments rather than only the main body. If the equipment has been damaged or is not operational, say so, because its ability to move can affect collection. A machine that rolls freely and one that cannot be repositioned are different loading propositions.

Tell us about any restricted entrances, low overhead structures or obstacles near the pickup point. Delivery access should be described as well. Providing that information gives the transport enquiry a practical starting point.

Being unable to start your vehicle does not necessarily mean it needs to be towed straight away. We also provide roadside assistance for jump-starts and battery replacements, two services relevant to battery-related starting problems.

Other vehicle faults can also prevent starting, so it is useful to describe exactly what you have experienced. Have the vehicle make and model readily available when calling. Let us know whether the lights work, if the engine attempts to turn over and whether the problem appeared suddenly.

You do not need to make a technical diagnosis; the observations are a way to explain what assistance you are seeking. Safety and access remain important.

Share the position so we can discuss an appropriate roadside response or the possibility of towing instead.
